LOOKFANTASTIC BEAUTY BOX – JUNE 2017
Coming a month too late for me, this month’s LFBeautyBox theme was Wanderlust, treating us to a plethora of travel beauty essentials to get us through the holiday season. Unfortunately I went on holiday in May rather than June or July, so I’ll have to use the products in the cold, grey north of England rather than by the beach in the Med.

As always, we received this month’s Elle magazine alongside LookFantastic’s own Beauty Box ‘zine, which outlines the products plus includes other articles related to the theme. I always say this, but I do love the fact you get a mini magazine rather than just a postcard or nothing at all, like some boxes.
The first product we received is a travel-sized shampoo by Kérastase called Densifique Bain Desité. This shampoo is for creating density, which I definitely don’t need, but I’ll either put it in a giveaway or give it to a friend. There were a few different shampoos we could have received this month, so I’m a bit gutted that I got the one I can’t use! The full-size version of this would cost £18.60(!!) but as this is a 80ml sample, this is worth £5.95.
Hailey Baldwin recently launched a collection with ModelCo and we received a Super Lips Lipgloss in the shade Biz. The gloss claims to be non-sticky, hydrating and long-lasting, but I’m not a fan of lipgloss so I can’t see myself testing this theory out. If I do try it, I’ll use it over a normal lipstick as it seems quite sheer. This seems like it could be sample sized product at 3ml, but the website doesn’t specify how much product is in a full-size version, which is £18.
This is a Monu Spa Rosewood Reviving Mist, which is a lightweight facial mist that helps relieve tired complexions. You can use it in a few ways, just like the Superdrug Vitamin E Hydrating/Toning Mist or Mac Fix+. I really love using this types of products during summer to refresh my skin or makeup and this one is in the perfect handbag size. This company is based in Cheltenham and all their products are made there, which is where I went to university! The full-size version of this is 180ml and £19.95, whereas this one is 40ml and therefore worth £4.43.
We’ve received products from Balanceme before, and I’ve never been disappointed. This is their Balancing Face Moisturiser which is 99% natural (which I love) and is hydrating and gives the complexion and even finish. It reduces shine but still brightens the skin (try and get your head around that…). This is a 20ml sample and so far I’m loving how it feels and smells. It reminds me a lot of the Caudalie VineActiv 3in1 Moisturiser. This travel-sized product is worth £9.60, as the full-size (50ml) product is £24.
Next is a highlighter, which I was surprised to see, but pleased about. This is the Bellápierre Cosmetics shimmer powder in the shade Exite, which is a loose eyeshadow and/or highlighter with a silvery iridescent finish. You need to be sparing with this as otherwise it can look like a unicorn licked your face, but it gives off a very glittery glow. This contains 2.35g of product, which is full-size and would normally cost you £12.99.
Lastly is my favourite product this month, the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, which are said to exfoliate, tone and brighten the skin, much like the Nip+Fab Daily Pads I use every morning. These contain Lactic and Glycolic acid to refresh and revitalise. You get 28 pads in here (enough for a month, almost) whereas a full-size version of this contains 60 pads and costs £24, making this sample worth £11.20.
Overall, this month’s beauty box is worth £66, with the assumption that the lipgloss is full-size. Considering it costs just £13 a month with free shipping, I think the LFBeautyBox is well worth a subscription. You get to try out some really great products, even if a couple of the products in this month’s box aren’t to my tastes.
If you want to sign up to LookFantastic’s Beauty Box subscription service, you can do so by clicking here, plus if you use the code HELEN-R5E you get some money off your first box! I’m unboxing either the LFBeautyBox or the Love Me Beauty subscription service on a live stream on my youtube channel each month, plus doing an unboxing video for the one I didn’t live stream, so make sure you’re subscribed if you want to see those!
