You may have noticed that the LookFantastic Beauty Box unboxing is a little later than usual this month – that’s because I didn’t receive one of the promised items in my box and I’ve been waiting for them to send it to me. However, it hasn’t arrived yet, but we are nearly in December so I thought it was probably time to unbox the November box anyway.
As always, there’s a discount code for you (HELEN-R5E) and a link to click to sign up for the box if it’s something you’d be interested in – just have a nosey here – and at just £13 a month, I think it’s an absolute bargain.
Every month we get an issue of Elle magazine which is worth £4.30 itself. It’s a great extra to get and something to read in the bath on a cold winter’s evening. There’s also a mini magazine that includes information about the products in the box as well as extra articles about other relevant products.
The first item we (should have) got was the Bellapierre lip creme in either red, rose, or nude. Hopefully mine is in the post because this is a full size lip creme worth £14.95! I think I’d prefer the nude shade rather than pink or red but I will have to wait and see what they send. This lipstick claims to be kiss-proof and longwearing.
The first item I actually received was a travel sized ThisWorks Deep Sleep pillow spray, which you spray on your pillow before you go to bed to help you fall asleep. It claims to be clinically proven to help you sleep deeper and wake up more refreshed and I’m definitely looking forward to testing it out on those nights where I need some help drifting off. This is a 5ml sample, meaning it’s worth just £1.20, compared to the £18 and 75ml full-sized version.
Next we got a travel sized Filorga Time Filler which is, in essence, an anti-wrinkle cream and wrinkle/pore filler. I’m only 23 so haven’t got too many wrinkles or pores, but it’s never to early to start prevention so I’ll be interested to test this out! We get 7ml in this little tube worth £7.70 compared to the 50ml in the £55 full-size version.
The last skincare item this month was the Murad Essential-C Day Moisture cream, which is a moisturiser/sun-cream combination packed with Vitamin C and hydrating and protecting ingredients to keep your skin illuminated and youthful. This again is a travel sized product with 10ml inside worth £11, compared to the full-size of 50ml and £55 (again!).
We got more makeup than skincare this month! The next item was Pixi Glow Booster in Pearl, which is a liquid highlighter. This is my perfect shade: a pearlescent white-pink that suits my skintone exactly. It’ll be great to put underneath foundation or on my cheekbones before powder! I couldn’t find this product sold on its own, only as part of a set that is selling for £20, so we’ll round the worth down to £10.
Lastly, my favourite product. I’ve never heard of Teeez cosmetics, but we received a full-size single shadow in the shade Sepia Shine worth £16.50 from them. I’m obsessed with this brown-green shifting shimmery shadow! I cannot wait to use it in an eye look all over the lid.
This month’s goodies (including the lip creme) come to a total value of around £65, which is way more than the £13 we pay per month! I hope the lip creme arrives soon. Remember, if you do want to sign up, you can do so here with the code HELEN-R5E to get some money off. Below is a video unboxing so you can see the products in more detail.
