LookFantastic Beauty Box day is still my favourite day each month. I love receiving the surprises and trying new things each time, which can only mean that the LookFantastic Beauty Box is an investment well worth making. The box costs just £13 a month with free shipping but the contents are always worth way more than that. I do have a discount code if you’d like to sign up – just click here and enter HELEN-R5E at the referral code point of checkout. It does ship worldwide so if you’re not in the UK – no problem!
As always, we received the Elle Magazine for the month within our box. This is worth £4.30 if bought from a normal shop and I actually use this to get blog post ideas from and sometimes I even use it for flatlays as it’s a fairly pretty-looking magazine. We also get the Beauty Box magazine, which is a mini magazine to show the products we get in the box and talk about other products available on LookFantastic.
The first two items we received were Mane & Tail shampoo and conditioner. These are a cult classic in the US and are unique in that they were originally created for Horses, hence the name, and boast that they can help thicken and make your hair healthy-looking. My hair doesn’t need thickening at all, but I will happily try them out! These are samples, worth just £1.01 each as the full size products are very affordable. Find out more here.
We then received a Basil and Lemon Body Milk by the brand Korres. I can’t say I’ve ever used a body milk and I didn’t even realise what it was for until I looked in the Beauty Box magazine! I definitely get dry skin, especially on my legs (damn it, shaving), so I’ll be using this after a shower for hopefully soft, hydrated skin. This is a full-size product and you can pick it up for just £3 here!
This cleanser by Gatineau smells amazing. It’s so luxe and I almost feel like it’s too good to use, but I will definitely be using it once my current cleanser has run out. It claims to leave your skin feeling soft and and comfortable as well as thoroughly cleansed, so this will most likely be best for those with sensitive skin. No more redness from rubbing your makeup off! The 200ml bottle of this cleanser is £20.50, whereas this deluxe sample is 50ml, meaning this is worth around £5.25. You can also pick up a 400ml version for £31!
This is another full-size item, this time it’s a lip balm ball from Lottie London. I really like a lot of Lottie London products so I was pleased to see the brand in the LFBeautyBox this month! The lipbalm I received was in the scent Strawberry Shortcake and smells delicious, but the balm is colourless. I would have preferred a tinted balm, but I’m not too bothered as I can just put a lipstick on for some colour. You can get this for £4.99!
Lord & Berry aren’t a brand I’d really seen anywhere before, but I’m in love with this brow pencil. The full size version is only 0.85g heavier and has a spoolie, so you’re getting a good amount of product in this deluxe sample. This pencil is so creamy and pigmented and contains different tones of brown within the actual pencil to create a more custom shade. It’s worth about £11.90 and the full-size version is £14!
Finally is my absolute favourite product from the box this month. I didn’t even realise Skin79 did makeup, so I was excited to try this BB Cream. It made my skin look so flawlessly natural and was pretty much an exact match for my skin tone. It’s really pale so if you’re deeper than porcelain it’ll probably be too light for you, but for my fellow pale beauties it’s well worth a purchase. You can get the full size for around £22.90 (it’s usually on LookFantastic but is currently sold out), but this sample is worth around £4.
Overall, this month’s LookFantastic Beauty Box was worth about £37.50, which is less value than previous months but this was actually my favourite box I’ve had so far! Remember, you can sign up for the box for just £13 a month and you can get a discount with the code HELEN-R5E.
