Lighthearted Beauty and Lifestyle... Honestly.

March was another quick month – possibly to make up for the drag that was January. I feel like nothing much happened this month except for most major thing of my entire life (more on that later), but I promised myself to make an Edit of each and every month of 2018, so I guess here we go.

At the end of every month, I’ve decided to create my monthly Edits – a mixture of product favourites, other things I’ve been loving, a life update and any other bits and pieces I want to include. It’ll be a great way to summarise my month and something interesting to look back on in the future.

I’m finding that because I’m doing a lot of clothing hauls and testing different brands out for YouTube videos, I’m not really buying much makeup for myself. So, ergo, my beauty favourites are a little thin on the ground this month. First we have the Zoeva Offline and Smokey palettes, which I absolutely love. Zoeva eyeshadows are relatively affordable at £18 for a standard palette, and their formula, packaging and colour selection is gorgeous. I want more! Then we have a couple of foundations – one from W7 (courtesy of my Testing W7 Makeup video) which I was so surprised to find was pretty amazing, then the much-hyped Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation. This makes my skin look pretty flawless, except for a little bit of sinking into my wrinkles. But I can look past that, especially if I use a pore-filling primer.

I picked up some new clothes from ASOS and Primark recently and have loved having something different to wear. I love my new culottes, wide leg trousers and denim skirts – it makes such a nice change from wearing skinny jeans and leggings all the time! Possible that this was in my lifestyle faves last month, but I honestly have bought a lot more since then. Sorry, bank account. As well as clothes, I’ve also treated myself to some new shoes. Look at these pink ones! They are gorgeous. I cannot wait to find an excuse to wear these. I love them!

I’ve really been into my Instagram Stories at the moment – I never really saw the point when they first arrived on the scene but now I treat it like a mini vlog every day – and I’m definitely addicted to tapping through other peoples’! Give me a follow on Insta if you’d like to keep up.

The big thing that happened this month is that I was invited to – and attended – the Revolution party! It was their 4th birthday as well as the launch of the Revolution Pro line and I felt so privileged and amazed that I actually got a chance to be there. It was held in London and had a casual party vibe, with a DJ set, a speech from the creator, Adam Minto and loads of displays around the venue to take photos in front of or have a sneak peek of new products. I’ll admit it was a messy night, to say the least (hello, open bar) but I met some amazing people and had a brilliant time. Fingers crossed I’ll get a chance to be at the next one!

Other than that, there’s not much else to report. It’s Easter at the end of the month/beginning of the next, so I’ll be having parents visiting and perhaps starting to renovate the house then. Hopefully I’ll have more to talk about in April’s Edit!
