JANUARY EDIT / 2019

JANUARY EDIT / 2019

Wow, the first Monthly Edit of 2019! A year ago, I wrote my very first one. How times have(n’t) changed. I feel like January is the Monday of the year. Everyone’s a little grumpy and down after December’s celebrations, motivation is at an all-time-low, and it’s all cold and grey, too.

At the end of every month, I’ve decided to create my monthly Edits – a mixture of product favourites, other things I’ve been loving, a life update and any other bits and pieces I want to include. It’ll be a great way to summarise my month and something interesting to look back on in the future. Links are affiliated.

SHOP MY FAVES
Jessup Brushes / £14.99 / Amazon
L’Oreal 24hr Fresh Wear Foundation / £10.99 / Superdrug / Boots
Nip+Fab Travel Palette / £9.95 / Superdrug / LookFantastic

As it’s January, I seem to be even poorer than usual, meaning I haven’t bought myself too many new things. I did, however, purchase myself some Jessup brushes from Amazon. I was so pleasantly surprised by these brushes! They feel so incredibly soft, but not in a really synthetic, cheap way – they feel high-end and perform beautifully as well. I also loved the L’Oreal Fresh Wear Foundation, which is a relatively new release. It looks really healthy on the skin, is glowy without being too dewy, and lasts a really long time. Finally, the Nip+Fab Travel Palette in Light/Medium was a good investment, as it is perfect for my skintone and is a really handy palette to have, especially for travelling (obviously).

LIFE UPDATE
life update - monthly edit january 2019

I skipped out on my lifestyle favourites this month, as I honestly don’t have anything new to talk about! January, as I said, is a little bit of a ‘meh’ month and we’re poorer than usual. We did, however, finish off our bathroom renovation (almost). The only thing missing is the bath side panels! I love how it looks compared to what it used to look like and it didn’t end up costing as much as we thought. The biggest money-saving thing we did was keep the old layout, radiator and tiles. We painted the tiles white and blue rather than the strange mottled grey with light blue patterns and painted the radiator with white radiator paint, as it was going really yellow. We originally were going to shift the layout around so we would have the bath at the end and a single shower where the bath is currently, but it would have been a lot of work.
