Lighthearted Beauty and Lifestyle... Honestly.

Last month I wished for the heat to end, this month I got my wish granted! Autumn weather seems to be rolling in a little prematurely, which is great for autumn-lovers like myself. Primark is fully stocked with mustard yellow and burgendy clothing and I am craving a new coat for the season ahead. I’m in my happy place.

At the end of every month, I’ve decided to create my monthly Edits – a mixture of product favourites, other things I’ve been loving, a life update and any other bits and pieces I want to include. It’ll be a great way to summarise my month and something interesting to look back on in the future. Links are affiliated.

I didn’t actually buy too much makeup this month, despite the previous couple of months being quite spendy. I bought some Wet n Wild products to test out (it launched on Beauty Bay! I liked the 4 pan palettes and bronzer the best) and some new bronzers for a future video. My favourite purchase out of everything was probably the CoverFX bronzer, which was reduced down to £5.99 from £34 in the Beauty Outlet. I also like the MaxFactor Creme bronzer and the I Heart Revolution Summer of Love bronzer. Finally, I picked up Maybelline Superstay foundation in 03 (previously I had 05) and it’s becoming one of my favourite foundations!

Myself and my husband have been watching a lot of iZombie, which I didn’t expect to enjoy as much as we did! Also on Netflix, I’ve been watching a lot of teen rom-coms, like To All The Boys I Loved Before, The Duff, The Kissing Booth and Edge of Seventeen. It reminds me of my 15 year old self, going to the cinema with my friends and watching a cheesy love story about people the same age as us.

Now that Autumn is just around the corner, I’ve been eyeing up all the warm jumpers, burgendy and mustard colours and corduroy in clothes shops (let’s be real, Primark). I love the season so much; it makes me so happy to have slightly cooler days and needing a coat! I’m also excited about the prospect of Halloween and Pumpkin Spice Lattes…

What did I even do in August? Chris went on holiday towards the end of the month, which meant I was home alone for a whole 6 days! I haven’t been on my own since before we were married, so it was quite strange. I do have daily vlogs from that entire time if you’d like to see what I got up to, you can find my vlog channel here!

Other than that, August has been a pretty laid-back, do-nothing month. I feel really boring, but I literally did nothing.
