APRIL EDIT / 2018
April was an odd month. It started with snow, ended with rain, and we also had a mini heatwave somewhere in the middle. What. A. Whirlwind. If you celebrate Easter, I hope you had a nice few days at the beginning of the month! If you’re like me and don’t celebrate, I hope you ate chocolate anyway. It would be rude not to. Here’s what I’ve been up to this month.
At the end of every month, I’ve decided to create my monthly Edits – a mixture of product favourites, other things I’ve been loving, a life update and any other bits and pieces I want to include. It’ll be a great way to summarise my month and something interesting to look back on in the future.

Gone are the days where I can buy massive hauls of makeup just for the love of it; now I’m always thinking purely of the YouTube videos I have to make and what I have to buy for reviews and such. That being said, I do often find new favourites because of new products I’ve picked up for videos! The examples this month are Revolution Pro goodies from my ‘testing’ video – The Mischief Mattes palette is so exciting to me. Look at all those brights! I have reviewed it here if you’d like a look (and I do recommend picking it up).
I’m also really enjoying the two primers I tested too: the Undereye primer is amazing for dry eyes and the Radiant primer makes my skin look so healthy! And lastly from Revolution Pro, the foundation drops – they applied so beautifully and gave a lot more coverage than I thought they would. I definitely prefer the drops over the Camouflage foundation.
I’m also loving the Revolution Conceal & Define concealer in their new palest shade – 0.5! It’s a very pale pink-toned concealer so perfect for brightening up my under eyes (or you could probably use it to colour correct). They also brought out a white shade called Conceal & Correct in 00(white) which is going to be so handy when trying to make darker concealers work with my skin tone.
I got some cute new slip-on Primark shoes that I’ve been wearing non-stop since I got them. I have them in yellow and white and they’re so comfy and easy to style! Better still, they were only £6 each.
I honestly haven’t done much else. I started my bullet journal for the millionth time in April, so I’ve been liking keeping track of various things and making sure my to-do list is ticked off each day. If you’d like a post about my setup, let me know and I can make a separate post on that.
April was quite uneventful. We had a mini heatwave in the middle, and so like any true Brit we had two (yes, two) barbecues, once with friends and once with leftovers. It was nice whilst it lasted; now we’re back to the rain and cold again. My sandals will have to wait!
We started work on my new beauty room! What was our dressing room is now going to be my office space and filming area, as well as makeup storage room. It took us a week, but we stripped all the walls, ripped up the carpet and then had it plastered. Once we have time, we’re decorating properly! I’m still not 100% certain on colours, but I’ve ordered some samples which should get here soon.
Avengers Infinity War came out at the end of the month, but as I am writing this I am yet to see it, so I am making sure to avoid spoilers on the internet (Twitter, I’m looking at you). I’m so excited, though. So. Excited. Update: Avengers was the best thing I’ve ever seen in the world ever.
WATCHING / Just finished Black Lightning, and also we finished season 2 of A Series of Unfortunate Events! / READING / I haven’t read Eleanor Oriphant is Completely Fine yet.
