Lighthearted Beauty and Lifestyle... Honestly.

Since my previous skincare routine post I have changed up my products and added in an extra step or two in my skincare regime, so I thought I’d share my updated routine!

In the morning I’ll use the Polaar Instant Eye Energizer under my eyes to de-puff and brighten them up a bit. I got mine from LookFantastic but it’s currently sold out, so keep an eye out for a restock.

Then I’ll use some Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturiser to hydrate my skin after lots of sleep. You only need a tiny bit and it goes so far! It makes my skin feel really hydrated and healthy. If you’d like to try it, you can find the moisturiser here.

I then use a lipscrub by Primark. I’ll be making my own lipscrub on the blog in April so keep an eye out for that if you want to make your own too!

Lastly I prep my face for makeup using primer, usually Illamasqua Hydra Veil as it’s hydrating and AMAZING. You can pick up some from LookFantastic.

(I also use an in-shower cleanser each morning to wash my face, in case you were wondering)

In the evening I take my makeup off using Garnier’s makeup remover, followed by Garnier Micellar Water. It’s a very gentle way of taking makeup off and is good for all skin types! You can get these from Superdrug.

I then use Nuxe Toner (from LookFantastic) which smells so good and gets rid of the excess cleanser on my face. I’m running low and will definitely be repurchasing!

After toning, I use a serum. I’m currently using the SkinChemist serum that I got in my LookFantastic box (check out the unboxing here) which feels so nice on my skin and smells like a dream.

Next I moisturise. I’m using the Caudalie 4in1 moisturiser at the moment and I’m nearly out as it was just a sample in my Beauty Box (see above link for unboxing), but I also use The Ordinary Moisturising Factors + HA moisturiser or the Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel again.

I then do a lipscrub again, as I suffer really badly with dry lips – especially in the winter!

Lastly I use cold-pressed castor oil in my brows and lashes (to help them grow). This isn’t really a skincare step, but I thought I’d include it. My lashes are so thin and sparse so I wanted to help them thicken up and grow a bit, and my brows are a bit patchy from overplucking as a teen.

I also do a facemask each Friday, usually Garnier Moisture Bomb sheet masks!

That’s my skincare routine! I’ll be doing a video version on YouTube soon, so keep an eye out for that and subscribe if you want to support me!
