NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS 2017
I cannot believe it’s 2017 already. Where did last year go?! Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be glad to see the back of it because it was a pretty rubbish year for the world, but it scares me how quickly time goes. This year I’m going to concentrate on achieving my goals, starting with making some resolutions.
- LOSE WEIGHT
I’ve had this same resolution for about 10 years now and I’ve only ever lost a noticeable amount of weight once or twice, but now I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been (I blame marriage) and I’m not happy about it. I have to eat better for my surgery on the 10th – both before and after – and me and Chris will probably be joining a gym if we can afford it once I’m healed. I actually want to lose 3-4 stone (14lbs = 1 stone). Linked to losing weight is drinking more water, too.
- GET OUTSIDE MORE
I spend a lot of time indoors because of my work, so it would be good for me and my sanity if I got out more, even if it’s just on the weekends.
- WORK HARDER
I really want to turn blogging and youtube into my career, so I’m determined to work as hard as I can in order to make that happen. I need to procrastinate less, because I am awful at leaving things to the last minute.
- MAINTAIN A SLEEP SCHEDULE
My sleeping pattern is awful, because I’m usually up until the early hours and then I sleep in until nearly lunchtime, which means I have less time to film before Chris gets in. I also need more time for uni work so an earlier start would be beneficial there.
I didn’t want to set myself too many major goals because then I’m less likely to succeed. I have specific youtube and blogging goals as well, which I think I’ll talk about in a separate post, but for now these are my 2017 goals.
