BEAUTY FAVOURITES – OCTOBER '17
Sometimes I find it easy to pick out a bunch of products I’ve been loving in the previous month. This month was not one of those times. Despite testing out quite a lot of new makeup, I haven’t really fallen in love with many things that I didn’t include in last month’s favourites. I have a few things, but prepare for a shorter post this month.
I♥Makeup Mint Chocolate palette – If you haven’t read or seen my review of this, you should probably check out that blog post. I rave about this palette in it. Despite not being the most amazing quality I’ve ever tried, it’s the first palette in a long time that I’ve been excited for (that isn’t a warm-toned neutral palette) and it reflects a definite shift in palette trends about to happen.
PS Insta Girl Iridescent highlighter – I tried this highlighter out in my ‘Testing Primark Makeup’ video and fell in love. It’s pink-toned which suits my skintone and is so beautifully glowy. It’s £6 which is quite a bit more expensive than usual, but definitely worth it.
PS Peachy Glow palette – Another Primark item, but this time a palette. Actually, just one pan out of the palette! Not only does the whole palette smell like peaches, the mauve shimmery blush on the end is my perfect blush colour. It gives me a healthy peachy glow without looking like highlight and blends out like a dream. It’s pretty sheer, but that means I can just build it up to the intensity I want without looking like a clown.
PS My Perfect Colour concealer – The last Primark product, I promise! This concealer is a dupe for Maybelline’s Fit Me concealer (which is a dupe of NARS!) but comes in a lighter colour, which is a godsend. It has a really easy applicator that makes applying it a dream and it blends out perfectly.
Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette – Next is the collab palette from YouTube Jaclyn Hill and Morphe. I’ve never loved Morphe before, as it’s just private-labelled cheap factory palettes but the JH palette was made differently and feels a lot better in terms of quality. I love the colour selection and how easy it is to work with! If you’d like to see a full review of the palette, let me know!
Makeup Revolution Life on the Dance Floor ‘Guest List’ palette – Last on the list (I told you it was a short list) is my newest purchase, and such a lovely one at that! It has all the warm tones you could ever need and it swatches and applies beautifully. There’s a review on my blog and youtube channel if you want to see it in action!
Sorry for the short-but-sweet post this month, but I just haven’t tried loads of products! What are your favourites this month? Read about last month’s favourites here!
