Lighthearted Beauty and Lifestyle... Honestly.

I love a glowy makeup look, especially in the summer. There’s just something about an illuminated base that gives me good vibes. It can be tricky to look glowy in the summer without looking sweaty, but I think I’ve finally got the look down with the products I used today. I even managed to powder my face and still keep the glow! Oily guys and gals know the struggle. If you want to see some more makeup looks I’ve done – they’re pretty old posts, but still – then there’s a whole category here.

The look I’ve gone for today is purple tones with as much glow as possible, whilst still looking relatively ‘normal’, rather than instagram-esque (FYI, follow me here). I’ve done a simple purple eye look with a matching mauve lip and more natural-looking, fluffier brows.

I wanted the base to look natural and not caked-on (and glowy of course), so I chose a BB cream with a dewy finish and a lightweight powder, rather than a foundation. It’s so easy to use cream products as you can just use your fingers, which is what I did today for the primer, BB cream, highlighter and concealer.
