Lighthearted Beauty and Lifestyle... Honestly.

Makeup makes me happy, which is why I have so much of it, and why I spend my time and money purchasing new bits. After last month’s huge haul, I didn’t think I would have so much to share in terms of new makeup in May, but I ended up selling my iPod and spending the money from that on more beauty bits, because of course I did. Here’s everything in pictures. If you want to see me haul them on camera, you can watch that here!

W7 Honey Queen Blusher, W7 Candyfloss Face Brightener, NYX Powder Blush in Mocha, NYX Powder Blush in Pinched, W7 Big Lash Mascara

From the W7 Beauty Outlet, which is a shop that sells W7 makeup alongside discounted brands of makeup, haircare, bodycare and perfume, I picked up a few blushes and a mascara, . I tested out the mascara and the honeycomb blush in my Full Face of First Impressions video if you’d like to see how they did!

Olivia Hale Beauty Sponge, Bronzer, Blush Brick in Pink, Blusher in Pearlescent Pink, Blusher in Cotton Candy, Blusher in Bramble, Blush Brush

Olivia Hale is a brand new makeup brand to Home Bargains and it launched with an offer – every product was 99p! I picked up three matte blushes, a blush brick, a bronzer, a sponge and a blush brush. The blushes swatch beautifully but I am yet to test them on my face. The sponge is identical to the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge!

New Look Flawless Liquid Foundation, Illuminating Primer, Eyebrow Pencil in Medium Brown, Matte Lipstick in Americano, Matte lipstick in Truffle, Moisturising Lipstick in Toffee, Matte Velvet Lip Crayon in Toffee Apple

New Look’s beauty range had a 3 for 2 offer on, as well as a stock clearance sale on lipsticks, so I picked up a brow pencil, illuminating primer, foundation, two matte lipsticks, a lip crayon and a moisturising lipstick. I loved the lipsticks but the foundation doesn’t really work well for my skin.

LA Pro Conceal in White, LA Pro Conceal in Porcelain, BH Cosmetics Neutral Eyes Palette, Morphe 35N Palette, Morphe M142 Brush, Morphe B82 Brush, Morphe M510 Brush

I treated myself to a few bits from Beauty Bay! I picked out three Morphe brushes (my first ever Morphe brushes!), the Morphe 35N palette, two LA Girl concealers and the BH Cosmetics Neutrals palette. If you’d like a review or tutorial with any of these, let me know.

From Superdrug I bought a Makeup Revolution cream contour kit, a powder contour kit and matte lipkit which meant I got a free Revoholic Cheek palette. I also got a foundation stick by Miss Sporty, the MUA Hydro Primer, an MUA brow pomade, an MUA lipstick, the Makeup Revolution Epic Day palette, the Nip+Fab Sculpted eyeshadow palette, Maybelline’s Eraser Eye Brightener, and Lottie London face gems, Rusts palette and Arch Rival brow pencil. I also got some skincare: the Vitamin E serum and hydrating mist.

Natural Collection Powder in Cool, Real Techniques Miracle Cleansing Sponge, Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, Natural Collection Blush in Rosey Glow, NARS Bronzer in Laguna, ‘Zoeva’ Brushes from eBay, Rainbow Honeycomb Brushes from eBay

From Boots I got my first Real Techniques sponges and Natural Collection’s powder and blush. I also received the NARS Laguna bronzer as a gift! The brushes are from eBay and I love the Zoeva-esque ones.

Primark Holographic Lipstick in Pixie Kisses, Silicone Sponges, Holographic Lip Gloss in Silver Ice, Non-Latex Sponges, Bronzing Brick, Lipliner in Desert Sand, Fixing Spray

Finally, from Primark I got a non-latex sponge (and two mini ones), two silisponges, a lipliner, a bronzing brick, a glitter lip topper, a colour-changing lipstick and an aerosol fixing spray. Can you tell I’m collecting makeup for a third Testing Primark Makeup video?

That’s it for this month’s haul! I have already ordered some things from Superdrug ready for next month because I have a bit of an addiction. Let me know if you want to see more of any of the products mentioned in today’s post!

  • Hey, I love your blog & this looks like a great haul! I would love to see reviews & some looks/tutorials from the Morphe and BH Cosmetics palettes. I would also really love to read more about the Makeup Revolution products & see what you like and don’t. 😍

  • I love buying makeup too, I’m always so happy after buying it and I can’t wait to use it. I hope you will be doing a review on the Olivia Hale products. I have never heard of the brand but I think their blush colors look so pretty! xo

  • Wooow. Such a good buy. I want you to tell real thoughts on Morphe brushes because I was so disapointed by their M range for eyes. My brushes lost their colors after few cleaning routines and they are really harsh now. I realy would enjoy your swatches of Morphe palette and BH cosmetics one. And do you like Miss sporty stick foundation? Is it good for dry skin?
Thank you for such a good post. I really love RT sponge and I enjoy mine. Also love Nyx blushes they are some of my fave ones.

    • I have a mini review (sort of) of Morphe brushes up today within a post! The miss sporty foundation stick looks really natural – sheer/light coverage – and doesn’t cling to any of my dryness. My skins actually doing quite well at the moment but it seems to be pretty good for dry/normal skin. It’s only £3.99 I think so not much to spend if you just wanted to test it out!
